DESCRIPTION:
Interns get to experience a "real" busy season in the largest independently owned CPA firm in Ohio. Audit interns will work mainly in our accounting & auditing department and will assist with and learn to audit the financial data of our clients to determine the reasonableness and accuracy of the information. Tax interns will experience a "real" busy season using tax preparation software to complete individual and some business returns.
ESSENTIAL AUDIT TASKS:
- Performing substantive testing in the areas of cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepaids, inventory, etc.
- Analytical review
- Preparation of financial statements
ESSENTIAL TAX TASKS:
- Preparation of income taxes (individual and business)
- Preparation of franchise taxes and personal property taxes
- Other duties as necessary
