Overview
We know restaurants. Our team of seasoned professionals comprises one of the largest restaurant accounting and consulting practices in the country. We serve hundreds of restaurant clients nationwide, ranging from small independents to large national chains, from quick-serve locations to fine dining establishments, and from franchisors to franchisees.
We offer a number of top-grade resources to SS&G Restaurant Services clients. Our award-winning Restaurant CFO Bootcamp® was founded by group director Brad Saltz, former CFO of Houston's Restaurants. We perform our annual SS&G Restaurant Benchmarking Survey, in partnership with Restaurant Finance Monitor and Franchise Times, to help small- to medium-sized restaurant companies see how their financials measure up to others. Our experts also write a quarterly newsletter, Selections, dishing out advice on current issues and hot topics in the industry.
Franchise Accounting
Our franchise accounting professionals provide a complete outsourced solution for the accounting needs of franchisors and franchisees. Since we are experts in the restaurant industry, we are intensely familiar and experienced with the needs of our clients. Our professionals have real-world restaurant industry experience, which we use to provide solutions that are appropriate for our franchise clients.
We provide top-of-the-line accounting services, and our franchise accounting professionals collaborate with accounting, tax, payroll, and other various professionals throughout our firm. We also offer quality resources for our clients, and our franchise accounting clients have 24/7 access to Web-based financial reports.
SS&G Restaurant Benchmarking Survey
Benchmarking is an improvement tool whereby a company measures its performance or process against other companies' best practices, determines how those companies achieved their performance levels, and uses the information to improve its own performance.
For a public restaurant company, it's not difficult to find out how your financials measure up to those of the competition, but for small- to medium-sized restaurant companies, these numbers aren't as easy to come by. Without benchmarking studies, it can be tough to tell how your company fares in the industry.
SS&G Financial Services, Inc., in partnership with Restaurant Finance Monitor, recently completed its third annual benchmarking survey of more than 137 franchised and independent restaurant companies. These small- to medium-sized groups represent $9 billion in sales and 6,350 units.
