Governor Granholm Signs Historic Michigan Business Tax (MBT) into Law
The governor of Michigan signed the tax bills into effect for the replacement tax to the Single Business Tax. The new tax takes effect 01/01/2008. The new tax is composed of two components a gross receipts and a business income tax. The law also enacted some personal property tax reductions.
