Cuyahoga sales tax increase approved
Crain's Cleveland Business is reporting that "Cuyahoga County commissioners by a 2-1 vote today agreed to raise the county's portion of the sale tax by one-quarter of one percent to pay for a new convention center and help bring a medical merchandise mart to Cleveland."
The sales tax increase, to 7.75% from 7.5%, would be established to cover the costs of building a convention center/medical mart combination.
